Why We Seek Non-traditional Entrepreneurs

As a non-traditional VC firm, we have a natural affinity with non-traditional startups.

Q&A from the Webinar:

Q. Aren’t you stereotyping about who’s a traditional entrepreneur and who’s not?

A. The statistics support our commentary. VC funding goes primarily to men — something like 90-plus percent. Then it really helps to have gone to college in California or Massachusetts, or to have dropped out of college (particularly to have dropped out of an Ivy
League college) or to have gone to a top tech college in India, Israel or Canada. Put a circle around all those people — they get by far the lion’s share of all VC proceeds.
